XT-SPM is shaft power meter from Xtronica AS designed to measure the rpm, torsion and thrust of intermediate shaft of main propulsion engine of the vessel.
By using latest cutting edge shear strain sensor, axial strain sensor and magnetic sensor, the XT-SPM can achieve high accuracy along with reliability. The measurement results are send via Bluetooth wireless connection seamlessly to the side control station. The shaft power meter can be used along with Xtronica AS Power Fuel Consumption Monitoring & Optimizing System to monitor and dynamically optimize the fuel consumption of main engine especially with Controlled Pitch Propeller.
